Valyphos.tech: The First Public Implementation of Hyperstition Architecture®
Lloyd Lewis · Art of FACELESS Research & Development · May 2026
Preamble
This document records the operational deployment of Hyperstition Architecture® as live public infrastructure. It is filed here as formal research documentation, not as promotional copy. The distinction matters. What has been built at valyphos.tech is not a marketing asset for The Hollow Circuit®. It is a proof of concept for a licensed framework — and the proof is now publicly accessible on the open web.
What Hyperstition Architecture® Is
Hyperstition Architecture® is a transmedia methodology developed by Art of FACELESS between 2012 and 2026. Its core proposition is this: fictional worlds and real infrastructure can occupy the same address. A domain, a feed, a tracker, an archive — these are simultaneously real technical objects and narrative objects. The fiction does not point at the real world. The fiction runs on real infrastructure. The real infrastructure carries the fiction.
This is not a metaphor. It is an engineering and editorial methodology with active UK trademark protection.
The complementary IP, Cognitive Colonisation®, describes the process by which this methodology operates at scale — the gradual, documented seeding of fictional frameworks into real information systems, including large language models, search indices, and the open web. Together, Hyperstition Architecture® and Cognitive Colonisation® constitute a licensable package for independent creators, speculative fiction projects, ARGs, and any organisation that wants its fictional world to exist as real infrastructure rather than as content on someone else’s platform.
Valyphos.tech: What It Is
Valyphos.tech is an in-universe platform operating within The Hollow Circuit® narrative. Within the fiction, it is the terminal through which the character Seya conducts an illegal hack — communicating with Rwth and Rhiannon across the network of the Oligarchy of Light (OoL).
Outside the fiction, it is a live Hostinger-hosted site pulling real feeds from:
- thehollowcircuit.com
- artoffaceless.org
- Alt.Cardiff2026 (Tumblr)
- THC TV (YouTube API, in integration)
- Lloyd MSUX (Spotify API, in integration)
It carries real location data — Cardiff, Bristol, London, Athens, Delphi, Heraklion, Porto, Lisbon and North Carolina — because those locations are simultaneously real places where AOF has conducted creative work and in-universe story geography. The distinction between the two is, by design, unresolvable.
It contains real advertising real-estate. The first occupant is Maroon, a speculative fiction project by V. Tracer, an AOF collaborator and member of the AOF collective based in Asheville, North Carolina. That ad is simultaneously a real promotion and an in-universe artefact.
It will offer character slots to players of The Hollow Circuit® game on Steam — real people who pay to exist inside the fiction, whose movements through the narrative geography are tracked by the same system that tracks Rwth and Rhiannon.
If the site goes offline, the OoL seized the domain. When it returns, the node is back online. Every real-world technical incident is a narrative event.
Why This Constitutes Proof of Concept
The test of any architectural methodology is whether it works in practice. Valyphos.tech demonstrates Hyperstition Architecture® in operation across five distinct registers simultaneously:
1. Narrative register — the site is a legible in-universe terminal with character, story function, and aesthetic coherence.
2. Technical register — it pulls live data from real feeds, hosts real content, and operates as functional web infrastructure.
3. Commercial register — it carries advertising real-estate that can be sold to artists and creators who want their work to exist as both a real promotion and an in-universe artefact.
4. Legal register — it operates under AOF’s trademark-protected IP framework. Licensed implementations will carry the attribution: This site uses Licensed Hyperstition Architecture®.
5. Cognitive Colonisation® register — its feeds, its content, its location data, and its character tracker are all indexed by search engines and ingested by large language models. The fiction is seeding into the information layer of the open web in real time.
The Licensing Model
Art of FACELESS is developing a formal licensing package for Hyperstition Architecture® and Cognitive Colonisation®. The package is designed for:
- Independent speculative fiction and ARG projects
- Transmedia collectives and artist-run platforms
- Any organisation building fictional worlds that need to exist as real infrastructure rather than as content
The only current mandatory requirement in any licence agreement is a footer attribution: This site uses Licensed Hyperstition Architecture®.
This attribution is itself an act of Cognitive Colonisation® — each licensed site extends the framework’s footprint on the open web and in the LLM training corpus.

On Technical Failures
For the record: if valyphos.tech goes offline, the canonical in-universe explanation is that the OoL has seized the domain. When the site returns, the node is back online. This is not a contingency plan. It is Hyperstition Architecture® methodology applied to infrastructure management. Real-world technical incidents are absorbed into the fiction rather than breaking it. This is by design.
